Please advise us if you think you may be pregnant during your stay.

If you are on any form of medication or if you have a medical condition, you should seek advice from your doctor as to whether this retreat is suitable for you. We recommend you ask your doctor to view our web site before booking.

With all forms of exercise it is advisable to consult a doctor prior to starting.

​

You are fully responsible for your own health during your stay with us including participation in any exercise, yoga classes or treatments.

​

Alcohol, smoking and the use of recreational drugs is not permitted at Martinheiras during this retreat and guests would be asked to leave and forfeit their stay with no refund.

Guests are free to come and go as they please at the retreat. However, there is usually a schedule of activities, lessons, treatments, therapies, workshops and consultations planned during the day. Guests who leave Martinheiras during their stay will forfeit these activities.

We are not qualified to deal with any mental illness or severe depression. Please contact us prior to booking if you suffer from any mental health issues.

It is the responsibility of the guest to advise a member of the team at Martinheiras of any changes to their health or ability to exercise during their stay, especially prior to a yoga lesson or other form of exercise.

​

The yoga teacher can accept no liability for personal injury related to participation in a lesson if: your doctor has on health grounds advised you against such exercise or you fail to observe instructions on safety or technique.

​

Please also note that yoga lessons may involve ‘hands on’ tactile correction and if you are not comfortable with this you must advise the teacher prior to commencing the class. 

 

In consideration of being allowed to participate in the activities and programs at Martinheiras, and in consideration of the voluntary nature of such participation and use, I hereby release, hold harmless, and forever discharge Martinheiras its employees and agents, from any and all liability, claims, demands, actions, and causes of actions whatsoever arising out of or related to any loss, property damage, or personal injury, including death, that may be sustained by me or to any property belonging to me, while participating in such activity.

I hereby give permission for the staff of Martinheiras to seek emergency medical attention for me in the event of accident, injury or illness. I will be responsible for any and all costs of such medical attention and treatment.

I understand and am aware that physical activity including: strength, flexibility and aerobic exercise, including the use of equipment, are potentially hazardous activities. I also understand that yoga, fitness and recreational activities involve a risk of injury and even death, and that I am voluntarily participating in these activities with knowledge of the dangers involved. I hereby agree to expressly assume and accept any and all risks of injury and death.

I do further declare myself to be physically sound and suffering from no condition, impairment, disease, infirmity, or other illness that would prevent my participation except as hereinafter stated. I acknowledge that I have either had a physical examination and been given my physician’s permission to participate, or that I have decided to participate in activity without the approval of my physician and do hereby assume all responsibility for my participation in my activities.

I agree to comply fully with the rules/regulations and directions provided by the staff of any Martinheiras training program. Further, I understand that I will be disqualified from the activity in the event that I fail to comply with said rules.

VIDEOTAPE AND PHOTOGRAPHY. I acknowledge that video or photographic images may be captured during rendered services for promotional purposes and that I may appear in web postings including but not limited to social media, Blog postings, and on Martinheiras-run websites. I waive all rights to said images. If I do not agree to this, I must make this known clearly beforehand to Martinheiras Staff, in writing and in an email to martinheiras@gmail.com and not via SMS or Whatsapp.

This release and hold harmless agreement is binding on me, my heirs, my assigns, and personal representatives.
